JustBe Anniversary Celebration on 27th March 2010!

On Saturday 27th March 2010, JustBe celebrated their 1st Anniversary. And what a fabulous year it has been since our launch on 21st March 2009.

We are grateful to our helpers that worked tirelessly to prepare for this event and those that were on hand to serve on the day and help clean up after the event. To everyone that offered a helping hand you have our heartfelt appreciation. A special mention to the young ones that were so well behaved and followed instructions in being little helpers as they added their own special sparkle to the day.

Review...

It has been an exciting time for JustBe since their launch last year on 21st March 2009. And what a mighty oak has now grown from such humble beginnings!

The hardwork and dedication of this brilliant group of women has paid off with the culmination of their first year anniversary celebrations on Saturday 27th March 2010.

And what a fabulous day was had by all with an abundance of delicious food being served, tantalisingly tempting cakes, with drinks flowing and some exceptionally inspiring speakers, especially Grace Ononiwu (Director of Legal Services for the CPS) who had us all captivated and superb entertainment in the form of great music from DJ...., soulfully uplifting singer Sharlene Hector, and hilarious comedienne Lilly D.

Young and old alike delighted to the wonderful singing by Sharlene - who had us all singing and clapping so much we nearly lifted the roof! Lilly D (aka...Antoinette Daley) had us all 'tickled pink' (or was it purple?!) with her funny alter ego and amusing anecdotes that most if not all of us could relate to!

The fund raising raffle was a huge success - with some fabulous prizes being won - and proceeds going to good causes. The Just Be various events and activities were promoted on the day - with Clive from JustMechanics giving freely his nuggets of very useful information to all who enquired....Carole from JustArtdentity was there to promote her fantastic art workshop...plus the Gather and Grow group and Film Club with Janet proved very popular.

All that remains to be said is a huge WELL DONE and CONGRATULATIONS to Yvette MacDonald the founder of JustBe, without whom none of this would have been possible. I for one have already pencilled in next year's SECOND anniversary, which if this year's is anything to go by, will be well worth a return visit!
